NO Rehearsal Today | Hit and Run Witness??

Saturday’s concert was fabulous!  Bravo to everyone for a wonderful performance!

This is a reminder that ALL Youth Ensembles do NOT have rehearsal today!

And YEW and YEP have a Chamber Concert tomorrow, May 17th, 8:00 at CMSa2’s main location at 1289 Jewett. 7:00 call time.

AUDITIONS: Remind your friends that we have auditions NEXT week and send them THIS LINK so they can sign-up!  You do not have to re-audition unless you would like to audition for another ensemble.

PRE-REGISTRATION: Sign-up for next year’s Youth Ensembles (full-year registration) by June 6th and you will be waived the $35 registration fee.  REGISTER HERE. You also have the option to pay only a non-refundable $50 deposit, but the balance of $350 will be due in September (or can be put on a payment plan).

We look forward to seeing everyone again in the Fall.

Call for Witnesses to a Hit and Run:

Unfortunately, there was an incident in the parking lot during Saturday’s performance.  Someone hit the parked car of one of our parents, causing considerable damage to the font, but the culprit did not leave a note or come forward to report the incident.

If you think you saw this incident happen and have any information about it, please contact Kasia directly at kbielakhoops@aa-spa.org.

We and the affected family would truly appreciate any help in resolving this case.

Youth Ensembles 2016-2017

Thank you for your time in taking our recent parent poll.  Please read on for information about next year’s rehearsal schedule, early auditions and pre-registration.

2016-2017 Rehearsals

Based upon the results provided, Youth Ensembles rehearsals will remain on Monday evenings – same time for each ensemble.

Early Auditions

Auditions for any student interested in advancing from Introductory Strings to Advanced Strings, will be held on Monday, May 23 and Tuesday, May 24 from 5:00 – 9:00 pm at CMSa2.  Please click on this LINK to sign-up for an audition.

If your child plans to continue with his or her current Youth Ensemble he or she will NOT be required to re-audition.

We are also currently looking for parents to assist with proctoring and video recording auditions on-site at Saline Middle School on Thursday, June 9 and Friday, June 10.  The times of these auditions are TBD based upon availability, but will be during school hours.  If you are available to volunteer on one or both of these days, please click on this LINK to sign-up for a date and provide your availability. Thank you in advance for donating your time!

Pre-Registration for 2016-2017

Pre-Registration for the 2016-2017 term will open on Monday, May 2.  The $35 yearly registration fee will be WAIVED for any family that pre-registers for Youth Ensembles.  This pre-registration period will end on Monday, June 6.

As always, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email Paige at cmsa2programs@gmail.com

We are just under a month away from our Spring Showcase Concert on Saturday, May 14 at 3 pm at Forsythe Middle School.

Between now and the concert, 4 Monday rehearsals remain:

  • Tonight 4/18
  • 4/25
  • 5/2
  • 5/9

I’ve had many parents ask about the dress rehearsal schedule for May 14, and currently, we are still establishing the specific times.  At this time, please plan on your child being at Forsythe for the entirety of the afternoon, starting at 12 Noon, on concert day.  This call time is subject to change based upon your child’s specific ensemble, but this is a safe bet at this moment. I hope to have you more specific information within the week.

You should have also just received an email invitation to join a Sign-Up Genius online sign-up to volunteer on concert day.  If you didn’t receive an email, you can access the sign-up via this link.  Please take a look at the tasks we need assistance with, and if you’d be able to loan us your time and abilities. We would greatly appreciate any assistance you can give us, specifically with set-up and tear-down, as I can’t set the stage by myself and will need some additional hands.

If you have any questions about the concert, volunteering or the remaining rehearsal schedule, please feel free to email me or speak to me at rehearsal.  I look forward to seeing many of you at rehearsal tonight!  Enjoy the beautiful day!

Youth Ensembles Resumes TONIGHT 4/11

I hope you all had a wonderful spring break!  Rehearsal resumes tonight 4/11 back at Clague!

FOR PERCUSSION ENSEMBLE ONLY:  Don’t forget you have an EXTRA rehearsal with Mr. Goodman this Thursday, April 14 from 6:30 – 8:30 also at Clague.

We still are also still waiting on at least 20 more parent poll responses!  Since spring break was last week, I’ve extended the deadline to next Monday, April 18.  Please take just a moment or two during rehearsal tonight or during the day today to help us finalize the schedule for next year and take this POLL.

As always, please report any absences to me at cmsa2programs@gmail.com.

See you tonight.
